Over 30,000 people in more than 21 countries will gather for the world’s longest interdenominational musical event, 78 Hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise
– an event organized annually by the Young Adults and Youth Affairs
(Y.A.Y.A.) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. It is scheduled to
hold from 2nd – 5th March 2020.
From its inception in 2012, its major objectives remain to celebrate God’s faithfulness and mercy upon the life of an iconic figure, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God whose influence spans many countries, both great and small, and the birthing of a new dispensation of worship where Christians all over the world are united in lifting up their hearts to God Almighty.
With the likes of Pastor Kunle Ajayi, Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Tim Godfrey, Bukola Bekes, Mercy Chinwo, BeeJay Sax and many more lined up to minister at the event, this year’s edition promises to be awesome as over 20,000 people are expected to attend the over 3 days event at the main altar at the Prayer Foyer of the 3/3km Auditorium Lagos – Ibadan expressway, Redemption Camp.
Also, there will be over 21 satellite altars of worship in 21 countries across 6 continents and will be televised live. The countries in view include South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, England, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and others.
Additionally, due to its nature as a non-stop event, everyone attending this event, either as volunteers in the various units or as attendees, will be provided with free accommodation, feeding, and transportation within Redemption Camp for the entire duration. Preparations are already in the works to ensure that all important areas like security, accommodation, welfare, transportation, etc are adequately provided.
Like the last edition, the newly inaugurated unit, Soteria, is planning to pray, visit schools, markets, and correctional facilities in neighbouring communities in a bid to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world in word and indeed. One other thing to look out for is the operation of a healing school which had a lot of healing testimonies from last year.
The event which has been attracting thousands of live worshippers and millions of virtual worshippers in the past will be broadcast live on Dove Television International, other Tv stations and several online platforms.
